Your journey to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary begins early in the morning as you leave the bustling city of Mombasa, heading towards a world of untamed beauty. The drive through the Kenyan countryside is filled with anticipation, and by late morning, you arrive at the sanctuary, welcomed by the serene landscapes and the remarkable Saltlick Safari Lodge.

After a warm welcome and a delicious lunch at the lodge, you set out for your first adventure: an afternoon game drive. The sanctuary comes alive with activity as the cooler hours of the day approach. The unique setting of Taita Hills, with its rolling savannahs and waterholes, provides a perfect backdrop for spotting wildlife. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and various antelope species roam freely, offering countless opportunities for photography and quiet observation. As the sun begins to set, casting a golden glow over the landscape, you return to Saltlick Safari Lodge. Dinner is a delightful affair, featuring a mix of local and international dishes, enjoyed with a view of the waterholes where animals gather.
