5 Days Kenya Bush & Wildlife Safari – Amboseli, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara

You will be picked up at 7:00 a.m. in your Nairobi hotel or the airport and depart for Amboseli National Park. 

You will drive through the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway, arriving on time for lunch at your camp. You will relax in the camp, getting ready for the afternoon game drive from 3:00 p.m. 

Amboseli National Park is famous for its big game, including elephants, lions, and cheetahs, the main attractions, and its beautiful scenery. 

Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lakebed - Lake Amboseli. 

These are open plains; extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland, rocky, lava-strewn thorn-bush country, swamps, and marshes.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, check out and depart Amboseli National Park for a scenic drive through Nairobi and the breathtaking Great Rift Valley towards Lake Naivasha. 

Enjoy beautiful landscapes, local villages, and panoramic escarpment views along the journey.

Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch or optional activities around the lake. 

Guests may enjoy an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot hippos relaxing in the water, fish eagles soaring above, and a variety of birdlife along the shores. 

You may also opt for a guided walking safari at Crescent Island Sanctuary, where zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and wildebeests roam freely in a peaceful natural setting.

After the optional Lake Naivasha experience, continue with a short drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in the evening for check-in at your lodge or camp.

Lake Nakuru National Park is well known for its rhino sanctuary, beautiful acacia woodland, scenic lake views, and diverse wildlife, including lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species.

After an early breakfast, check out and enjoy a mid-morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park as you exit the park. 

This game drive offers another opportunity to spot rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and various bird species within the beautiful acacia woodland and lakeside scenery.

Thereafter, proceed with the drive towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve through the scenic Great Rift Valley and local Maasai villages.

Lunch will be enjoyed en route as you continue your safari journey to the Masai Mara. 

Upon arrival at the lodge or camp, guests will check in and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You may relax at the lodge, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or take a refreshing swim at the swimming pool as you prepare for the next day’s full-day game drive in the Masai Mara.

After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive with sets of lunch boxes in the park, which is one of the premier game viewing spots in Kenya and hosts an unending chain of wildlife. Spot all the famous Big 5 throughout the reserve's seemingly endless horizons. 

Have the opportunity to experience the most impressive wildlife procession on the planet with over 2 million animals responding to ancient cycles of nature, which is famously known as the wildebeest migration in the Mara River.

You’ll enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge before checking out around 9:00 am. 

You can visit a Maasai village on your way back to Nairobi. This cultural visit offers a fascinating glimpse into the traditional life of the Maasai people. 

You’ll have the chance to watch a traditional dance, learn about Maasai customs, and purchase handmade crafts and jewelry. 

After the village visit, you’ll continue your drive back to Nairobi, with an expected arrival time of around 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, depending on traffic.
