Safari Overview
Experience a 9-day best of Kenya and Tanzania Safari.
You will visit the premier parks in both Kenya and Tanzania. In Kenya, you will visit the Masai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park, while in Tanzania, you will visit Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservancy.
Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National Park in Tanzania form Africa’s most diverse, incredible, and spectacular ecosystems and possibly the world’s top safari big game viewing ecosystem.
It is globally famous for its annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration.
The combination of 5 days in the Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem will ensure you will experience the best wildebeest migrations.
You will also experience the Famous Big Five, visit the Olduvai Gorge, take the Ngorongoro Crater tour, get close to the free-ranging elephants, and have spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The combination will ensure the best adventure possible without backtracking.
Itinerary
Your safari will start with a pick-up at JKIA Airport or from your city hotel.
You will later drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve.
On your way, you will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a panoramic view of the escarpment, a chance for a photo session, access to washrooms, and an opportunity to visit Curio shops.
You will then proceed and arrive at the Masai Mara, one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves, in time for lunch.
Check in at your camp and have a hot lunch.
Freshen up and have some time to relax and enjoy the property.
Around 4 pm, you will head for an afternoon game drive.
The game drive starts at the gate since the lodge is inside the park.
The Reserve is globally famous for its exceptional population of big cats and the Great annual wildebeest migration to and from the Serengeti, which runs from July to October and is also known as the 7th Wonder of the world.
After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge.

Morning breakfast and exit the lodge with a packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara National Reserve, searching for the Big 5 and other animals.
In case your safari falls from July to October, you will have the privilege to witness the 7th wonder of the world, the annual wildebeest migration, especially while crossing the crocodile-loaded river Mara.
After the game drive, you will head to the lodge to freshen up and proceed to a freshly prepared hot dinner. Later, have an

Today’s program is also very flexible; you can choose between three options.
Option 1: Breakfast and exit the lodge with a packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara Reserve, searching for the Big 5 and other animals.
Option 2: You may opt to have an early morning game drive in search of the big cat and the kill, return for breakfast, freshen up, and spend the rest of the mid-morning at your leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing. Later, have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive around 4 pm, searching for the Big Five and other animals.
Option 3: Go on an optional hot air balloon ride (USD 500 per person) in the early morning, followed by mid-morning game drives before driving to the lodge for lunch.
Later, have an afternoon game drive. After the game drive, you will head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Note: With any of the three options, you can arrange an optional visit to the Masai Village for USD 30 per person.

After breakfast, you will depart with a packed lunch for Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
After visa formalities at the Isebania border, you shall proceed to Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and most famous national park; also, a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing.
You will arrive in the late afternoon at the camp with a game drive en route.

After breakfast at the camp, depart with packed picnic lunches for a full-day game drive in the spectacular Serengeti National Park. Explore the park's vast open plains, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five, large herds of wildebeest and zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, and numerous antelope species.
Depending on the season, you may witness sections of the Great Migration, one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife spectacles.
Throughout the day, your experienced guide will lead you through different habitats in search of wildlife while sharing insights into the ecosystem and animal behavior.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing with afternoon game viewing. Later, return to camp for dinner and overnight, reflecting on another unforgettable day in the African bush.

Morning breakfast and then drive to Ngorongoro Conservancy. You will arrive in time for lunch with a game drive en route at Rhino Lodge. You will then leave the camp for a half-day crater tour after lunch. About the Crater: The Ngorongoro Conservation Area as a whole has much to offer, but the jewel in its crown is, without a doubt, the eponymous crater – an area of 265 sq km, which is 610 meters deep and 19 km across. The rim of the crater is an astounding 2286 meters above sea level. The floor contains a small soda lake called Lake Magadi, and it is estimated that 30000 animals live in the crater, making it the most intensive safari game viewing area on Earth. It was therefore very fittingly declared a World Heritage Site in 1978. A visit to Tanzania is incomplete without a safari visit to the park.

Have breakfast and then drive to Amboseli National Park with a packed lunch. After visa formalities at the Namanga border, you shall proceed to Amboseli National Park.
You will arrive at Amboseli National Park around 2 pm.
You will have a bush lunch on a hill facing Mt Kilimanjaro.
After lunch, you will continue with your game drives. This is the best park to get close to the free-ranging elephants, over 1600 elephants, and have spectacular views of the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro.
Also, you will have an opportunity to get the best snapshots of the unique African sunset and sunrise.
After the game drive, you will drive to the camp and check in at your camp.
You will freshen up and proceed to a warm dinner with soothing traditional music in the background.

On this day, you have two options to choose from:
Option one: You may opt to have an early morning game drive, return for a hot breakfast, freshen up, and spend the rest of the midmorning at your leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing.
Later, have lunch and proceed with the evening game drive. Finally, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Option 2: You may have an early breakfast and proceed for a whole day game drive with a packed lunch.
Accommodation: Kibo Safari Camp.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Amboseli National Park and begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy views of the Kenyan countryside and local communities along the way, with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro providing a final backdrop to your safari adventure.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
Depending on your departure schedule, optional activities or city excursions can be arranged at an additional cost.
As your safari comes to an end, depart with unforgettable memories of East Africa's spectacular wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and remarkable cultural experiences.
