Discover Rwanda’s capital, conservation story and mountain gorillas on a compact four-day safari. The journey starts in Kigali with a comfortable arrival night, followed by a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling countryside to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Kigali

Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where meet-and-greet assistance and your Grey Impala Safaris representative will be waiting. Transfer to your Kigali hotel, check in and relax after the flight. Dinner and overnight in Rwanda’s capital.

Day 02 :

Kigali Genocide Memorial and Transfer to Musanze

After breakfast, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for an informative and reflective introduction to Rwanda’s recent history and recovery. Continue north through Rwanda’s green hills to Musanze, arriving around lunchtime. Check in at your lodge and spend the afternoon enjoying the property’s facilities or resting before dinner.

Day 03 :

Gorilla Trekking and Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Campus

Leave early for the Volcanoes National Park headquarters, where you will register, attend a ranger briefing and join your assigned trekking group. Enter the montane forest with trackers in search of a habituated gorilla family. After returning to the lodge for lunch, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund for insights into gorilla science, conservation and community work.

Day 04 :

Return to Kigali and Departure

Enjoy breakfast before driving back to Kigali. Depending on your outbound flight time, transfer directly to Kigali International Airport or arrange an additional city activity. The final schedule will be adjusted to your confirmed departure time.
