International Holiday Packages

Grey Impala has planned East African travel since 2018. We now arrange holidays further afield too — whether you are flying out of Nairobi or Mombasa for a break, or adding a stop either side of your Kenya safari. Ten destinations, planned by the same team, quoted individually.

Two different trips

Which of These Is You?

International travel means two quite different things depending on where you are starting from, and the planning is different for each.

Travelling from Kenya

Flying out for a holiday

You live in Kenya and you want a break somewhere else — a beach week in Mauritius, a family trip to Dubai, a city break in Singapore. We handle it as a complete package rather than leaving you to piece flights and hotels together.

  • Flights from Nairobi or Mombasa, with routing options compared
  • Accommodation matched to your budget and the kind of trip you want
  • Transfers, and activities or tours where you want them arranged in advance
  • Guidance on visa and entry requirements for Kenyan passport holders
  • One point of contact, in your time zone, throughout

Travelling to Kenya

Adding a stop to your safari

You are coming to Kenya and want to build something either side of it — a Dubai stopover on the way, a few days in the Seychelles afterwards, or Victoria Falls as part of a longer southern Africa trip.

  • Planned as one itinerary with your safari, not two separate bookings
  • Regional add-ons that sit naturally alongside Kenya
  • Stopovers built around your existing long-haul routing
  • Internal flights and transfers between the legs
  • Handled by the team already planning your safari
Extend a safari trip

Being straight with you about how this works. These are not off-the-shelf packages with a price on a shelf. Every international holiday is quoted for your dates, your group and your budget, because airfares and hotel rates move constantly and a published figure would be out of date within a week. Tell us what you have in mind and you will get a real quote, not a brochure.

Ten destinations

Where We Can Take You

Grouped by the kind of trip they suit. Each card tells you what the destination is genuinely good for — and every enquiry goes to a specialist, not an automated quote engine.

Indian Ocean beaches

Short flights from East Africa, and the easiest safari add-on
Mauritius

Mauritius

  • Beach
  • Family
  • Honeymoon

Reef-sheltered lagoons, a genuine resort culture and a mix of price levels that makes it workable for families as well as honeymooners. The most straightforward long-weekend beach destination from Kenya.

Weathered granite boulders and a palm on a Seychelles beach

Seychelles

  • Beach
  • Island-hopping
  • Honeymoon

Granite outcrops, short inter-island hops and some of the best beaches anywhere. More expensive than Mauritius and quieter with it — the choice when seclusion matters more than resort facilities.

Aerial view of Dubai Marina towers and the harbour below

Dubai

  • City
  • Shopping
  • Stopover

The natural stopover on most long-haul routes through the Gulf, and a destination in its own right for a family few days. Works year-round, though the summer months are genuinely hot.

Southern Africa

Pairs naturally with a Kenya safari — different wildlife, different landscapes
South Africa

South Africa

  • City
  • Wine
  • Wildlife

The most varied single country on this list: Cape Town and the winelands at one end, Kruger and the private reserves at the other. Enough to fill two weeks without repeating itself.

Aerial view of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi gorge

Zimbabwe

  • Victoria Falls
  • Wildlife
  • Adventure

Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwean side, plus Hwange for elephants and Mana Pools for wilder, less-visited country. A strong second stop for anyone who has already done East African plains game.

Hippos half submerged in the Luangwa River, Zambia

Zambia

  • Walking safari
  • Victoria Falls
  • Wilderness

The other side of the Falls, and the home of the walking safari. South Luangwa and the Lower Zambezi are for travellers who want fewer vehicles and more time on foot.

Asia

City breaks and family trips, usually via a Gulf or Asian hub
Singapore’s Marina Bay skyline and the Singapore Flyer at dusk

Singapore

  • City
  • Family
  • Food

Compact, efficient and genuinely easy to travel in, which makes it one of the better first long-haul trips with children. Often combined with a beach week in Malaysia or Indonesia.

Limestone islands and rainforest coastline in Malaysia

Malaysia

  • Beach
  • Rainforest
  • City

Kuala Lumpur, the island beaches of Langkawi and Penang, and genuine rainforest in Borneo. Better value than most of the region and easy to pair with Singapore.

Pastel terraced houses stacked above the coast in Cinque Terre, Italy

Italy

  • Europe
  • Culture
  • Food

Rome, Florence and Venice for a first visit; the Amalfi coast, Puglia or the lakes when you want to slow down. Timing matters here more than anywhere else on this list — ask us about shoulder season.

North Africa

A short hop north, and the one destination here with more history than beach
The pyramids of Giza standing on the desert plateau under a clear sky

Egypt

  • History
  • Nile cruise
  • Red Sea

Cairo and Giza, a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, and Red Sea diving if you want beach time afterwards. Relatively short flying time from Nairobi for how different it feels.

No mystery

How an International Enquiry Works

The same process we use for safaris, applied further afield.

  1. You tell us the shape of the trip

Destination or shortlist, rough dates, how many of you, how long, and a budget range per person. The budget is the single most useful thing you can share — it lets us propose hotels that actually exist at your level instead of wasting a round trip.

  2. We check what is actually available

Flight routings and fares for your dates, hotel availability, and whether the itinerary you have in mind works in the season you want it. If something is a bad idea for those dates, we will say so rather than sell it to you.

  3. You get a written quote and itinerary

An outline day by day, the specific hotels and flights we would hold, and a price that itemises what is and is not included. Normally within 24 hours, though complex multi-country routings can take a little longer.

  4. We refine it, then confirm

Most trips change two or three times before they are right, and there is no charge for revisions. Once you are happy, a deposit secures it. Grey Impala Safaris Ltd is a KATO-bonded tour operator and an IATA agent.

Common Questions

Why are there no prices on this page?

Because any figure we published would be wrong within a week. International holiday costs are driven by airfares and hotel rates that move constantly, and by how many of you are travelling, when, and at what accommodation level. We quote against your actual trip instead. Send your dates and group size and you will have a real figure, normally within 24 hours.

Do you arrange flights as well as hotels?

Yes. Grey Impala Safaris Ltd is an IATA agent, so flights are booked as part of the package rather than left to you. For outbound trips we compare routings from Nairobi or Mombasa; for safari add-ons we work around the long-haul flights you already hold.

Can you help with visas?

We will tell you what the current requirements are for your nationality and route, and what you need to prepare. Requirements change, and we are not a visa agency — the application itself stays with you or with a specialist. We will never tell you a visa is unnecessary without checking.

Can I combine an international trip with a Kenya safari?

That is one of the two main reasons this service exists. Stopovers and add-ons planned as a single itinerary alongside your safari rather than as two unconnected bookings. Start with our safari packages or destinations and tell us what you would like either side.

Are these group tours or private trips?

Private and tailor-made by default. We are not selling seats on a fixed coach departure. The itinerary is built for your party, and you can change it as many times as you like before anything is confirmed.

Which destination should I pick?

Tell us roughly when you can travel, how long you have and what kind of break you want, and we will give you a shortlist with honest reasoning. Some of these are much better in some months than others, and some suit families far more than couples.

Do you only cover these ten destinations?

These are the ten we are asked about most and the ones we know best. If you have somewhere else in mind, ask — we will either arrange it or tell you honestly that you would be better served by a specialist in that region.

Closer to home

Or Stay in East Africa

If East Africa is still the trip, that remains what we do best. Browse all safari packages, pick a region on the destinations page, or look at safari and beach holidays if you want bush and coast in one trip. We also run Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda, and cross-border safaris that combine two countries in one route.

Tell Us Where You Want to Go

Send your destination or shortlist, rough dates, how many are travelling and a budget range per person. A specialist will come back with options and a written quote — normally within 24 hours. Mention whether you are flying out of Kenya or adding this to a trip here, because it changes how we plan it.
